Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship - Happy Valley Pre School (Term Time Only)

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship at Happy Valley Pre School, Brighton.


Happy Valley Pre School stands for educational specialists, wholehearted commitment and comprehensive childcare. Increasing demands are being made on childcare facilities, since all parents want the very best for their children, right from their very first learning experiences. In addition, there is now a marked trend towards intellectual education for children, but still children also need to play, move, get enough exercise and discover their own bodies.


Our nursery school achieves both objectives by offering space for moving around, plenty of opportunity for play, a small library and various facilities for creative activity. Our aim is to support each child through his or her own development. We aim to give our children the best possible start to their education and provide them with a rich and varied curriculum whilst following the Early Years Foundation Stage.


Our team of staff work incredibly hard to provide the best childcare provision possible. The needs of the children are at the forefront of everything we do and we strive to ensure we provide the best service possible.


The setting has 1 big hall, with a section for the under 2's. We care for children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

Child Development & Learning Promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5 Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform planning and support individual needs Safeguarding & Child Welfare Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with statutory guidance Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies Inclusion & Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning opportunities Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to implement tailored support strategies Promote equality, diversity, and inclusive practices throughout the setting Partnership with Parents & Carers Build and maintain positive relationships with families and carers Communicate regularly regarding children's development, achievements, and well-being Encourage parental involvement in the learning process and setting activities Professional Conduct & Team Collaboration Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and professional environment Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice Administrative & Organisational Duties Maintain accurate records, including observations, assessments, and safeguarding documentation Support the day-to-day organisation of the setting, including routines, transitions, and events Uphold all policies, procedures, and standards set by the organisation and regulatory bodies

Requirements;

A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential At least 2 years experience in a nursery setting working with under 5's GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent

Hours;

The setting is open from 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week
