Level 5 Childcare Apprenticeship - Caterpillars Montessori Nursery School (Term Time Only)

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Childcare Apprenticeship at Caterpillars Montessori Nursery School, Hartley Wintney.


At Caterpillars, the children enjoy time with two small dogs. The children learn how to care for animals, whilst the dogs have a positive, calming effect on them.


We have two well-equipped, secure outdoor spaces which children access daily.


We also make regular visits to the village and the local woods.


Staff ensure transitions to local schools run smoothly for each child based on their individual characters, friendships and needs. We follow the child and their interests, and through observations, we prepare them for school and their next steps after Caterpillars.


Montessori has the child's learning, alongside personal interests at heart. Teaching methods are designed around a child-directed approach. Montessori settings create a customised environment crafted to each child's unique abilities, interests, and learning styles; this is known as "hands on" learning. The mixed-age settings allow children to learn from one another as they progress through their early years.


We care for children aged 2 - 5 years and have outdoor adventures, library book and uniform prep.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

Creating a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play. Delivering a high standard of learning, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years. Developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development. Ensuring the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times. Planning activities that ensure each child is working towards early learning outcomes. Liaising closely with parents/carers to inform them about the nursery and its curriculum. Working in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan. Complying with nursery policies and procedures, including child protection issues. Keeping clear and accurate records and maintaining professional relationships with children and families.

Requirements;

A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential Experience in a similar role You must be able to gain a clear DBS Preferably have GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent

Hours;

Caterpillars Montessori Nursery School is open from 7:30am - 6:15pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week
