Job Description

Due to the expansion of funded provision entitlements, we are looking for a qualified early years practitioner to join our Flowerpots Nursery team

You will be joining a small dedicated, friendly and supportive team where the owner and manager are committed to supporting staff's continual personal development.

Main responsibilities are to work with the team in providing a high level of care of the children at the nursery, maximising their learning potential and work towards positive outcomes.

We are looking for someone that is caring and has a passion for working in childcare. You will need to be flexible towards your working hours / days, hardworking and a team player.

The ideal candidate will have:

Education and Training

1.

A relevant and recognised Level 3 or above qualification.

2.

Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete such a course within probationary period)

3.

Completion of Safeguarding Awareness (or willingness to complete such a course within probationary period)

4.

Basic Food Hygiene (or willingness to complete such a course within probationary period)

5.

Evidence of ongoing personal development training is desirable.

Relevant Experience

6.

Have practical experience of working with young children in an early years setting.

7.

Experience and familiarity of EYFS

8.

Experience of working in partnership with parents

Skills / Knowledge and Aptitude

9.

Enthusiasm for working with young children

10.

An interest in the care, learning and development of young children

11.

A commitment to the provision of high quality care and education to young children

12.

A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through team-working and participation in training opportunities

13.

Ability to work independently using own initiative

14.

Ability to record knowledgeable observations and assessments of children's developmental progression
