Part-time hours: 32-40 per week
Salary: Starting at 12.21 per hour. Our early years centre is hiring an energetic and enthusiastic individual to lead and supervise a group of preschool children. This position requires a background in early childhood education as well as experience in group supervision and management. We are looking for an educator with a passion for child development, a genuine interest in working with children and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
Meet with parents of pupils to answer questions or concerns.
Know how to handle difficult parents and students.
Be knowledgeable about the Ontario curriculum for children between 3 and 5 years of age.
Be knowledgeable about health and safety issues for children of that age group.
Know how to address the needs of children from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Be able to work effectively with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
Work as part of a team.
Address parents' concerns about their children's development.
