About the Role
We're seeking a compassionate and proactive Early Years Practitioner to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs at our nurturing nursery setting in Netherton. You will help the child engage socially, emotionally and academically, implementing tailored strategies to meet their developmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualised interventions in line with EHCP/support plans Support communication using Makaton, PECS, or similar tools Promote social interaction and inclusive play Use positive behaviour strategies and calming techniques Record progress and contribute to assessments Collaborate with the SENCO, professionals and parents/carers
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children with additional needs (Early Years or school setting) Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development Ability to adapt play and learning activities Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (desirable, not essential)
