The Lenches Pre-School, located in the picturesque Church Lench just 5 miles from Evesham, is a community-based nursery and pre-school group. With an OFSTED rating of 'Good' (2022), we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and joyful environment for children aged 2 to 5 years.
Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our dedicated team at The Lenches Pre-School. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for a beautiful and joyous 3 year old child with additional needs. We require a caring , passionate and nurturing candidate to support a child and work alongside a team member with a small group of children. The position would be a 1:1 support on a Monday, Thursday and Friday , term time only, 8.30-3.15.
Having an Early Years Level 2/3 would be desirable as well experience of working in Special Educational Needs, Educational Health Care Plan and liaising with external professionals, however training will be provided for the suitable candidate. Candidate will be required to register to the DBS Updating Service , complete relevant Safeguarding training and supply current and previous work references.
Responsibilities
This 1:1 support role will involve:
Plan and deliver engaging educational activities that promote children's development, likes, interests and abilities
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
Safeguard children and adhere to Safeguarding policies and procedures
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education.
Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and attendance.
Work alongside external professionals, Worcester Inclusion team and parents to ensure that the Childs' needs are consistently met . Attending relevant meetings when required to work together for the child
Accurate recording on interventions, progressions, nest steps and care plans
Embed educational health care plan, risk assessments and individual need plans to ensure highest care and quality
Undertake additional training and support from external professionals to support child s needs
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) Desirable
Strong communication skills in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus.
Experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
Experience of Special Educational Needs and disabilities desirable
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative.
