Early Years Practitioner - fixed term until 19/12/2025

Salary: xc2xa328,046 - xc2xa332,010 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 7.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Working day for the position is Thursday.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Early Years Practitioner to work within our early years team every Thursday on a fixed term basis until December 2025. The successful candidate will bring knowledge, experience, vitality, flexibility, and a passion for helping young children develop and grow through the provision of high quality learning experiences.
Abbeyhill Primary is a co-educational and non-denominational school located in the heart of Edinburgh, overlooking the Palace of Holyrood House and Arthur's Seat. The Senior Leadership Team includes a Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and Business Manager.
We pride ourselves on being at the heart of our community with strong links to the Palace, local businesses and the annual Colony of Artists festival. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
