Due to a growing number of children on roll, we are seeking and enthusiastic, motivated and skilled practitioner who recognises the importance and wonder of of working with young children. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and developing the early learning experiences of children in our care. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes the holistic development of young children.
Duties
Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play, encouraging children's curiosity and creativity.
Observe and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records to track their progress.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's emotional well-being.
Manage behaviour in a positive manner, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive learning experience across the nursery setting.
Participate in initiatives that enhance the quality of early years education within the nursery.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the learning environment, ensuring resources are accessible and well-maintained.
Requirements
A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
The ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
Experience in planning, observing and assessing children's development
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring children's welfare

Job Type: Full Time
Pay: 12.50 - 13.50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
