Job Overview

We are looking for a Childcare Practitioner to be part of our hard working team, and busy nursery, we are not day care, we are sessional care and work from one playroom and a large outdoor area.

Level 2 or 3 in Childcare and Education, with minimum two years employed experience in a nursery setting.

Can be studying towards level 3, if level 2 completed.

Must have very good knowledge of the EYFS, Safeguarding, Planning for children.

Safeguarding children is paramount, must be DBS checked and on the update service.

Adhere to policies and procedures, risk assessments, cleaning and staffing rotas. To undertake any other routine tasks as required by management.

To have good communication skills, speaking to parents and outside agengcies.

To have good written skills for completing two year checks, and other paperwork.

To keep mandatory training up to date i.e Safeguarding, First Aid, Food Safety etc.

Attend out of hours training/staff meetings

To be able to do staff illness/cover work.

Must be DBS checked and on the update service, (this can be arranged).

Hours available 16 hours per week, could lead to more hours.

Our opening hours are 9.00am until 3.15pm.

Working hours are Monday 08.50am-3.15pm, Tuesday 08.50am-3.15pm, Wednesday 08.50am- 1.00pm.

Hours advertised are non-negotiable.

Term time only. Holidays:- February, March, May, July, August, October and December half term.

Wage is pro rata, will be spread over 12 months.

Must be 18 years old.
