We're Hiring: Early Years Practitioner for JANUARY 2026!

Birdwell Pre-School established over 35 years ago and is a popular private setting based in Birdwell Primary School. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced level 2/level 3 Early years practitioner to join our outstanding, passionate and professional growing team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 2-5 years. You'll work alongside our team to plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development across all areas of the

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and lead

educational and fun activities, both indoors and outdoors.

Observe and assess

children's progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Build positive relationships

with children, their families, and colleagues.

Ensure the health, safety, and well-being

of all children in your care.

Create an inclusive environment

that celebrates diversity and supports every child's individual needs.
Essential Requirements

A full and relevant

Level 2 or 3 qualification

in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce). Previous Early Years experience ( 1 years requirement) SEN knowledge desirable but not a requirement. Sound knowledge of the

EYFS framework

and a passion for child-led learning. Excellent communication skills. A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine love for working with children and a positive team player. Clear DBS & two sounds references required including previous employer.
What We Offer

To begin the hours will be 18 hours per week over three days. Hours may increase to a maximum of 30 and flexibility for cover is required.

Working hours will be between 9am - 3pm.
