Priory School is a rapidly expanding Independent School, situated on an extensive green campus near the centre of this vibrant city.

At Priory School, we have a successful 'Outstanding' Early Years Department which operates provision for children aged 6 months to 5 years. We are an extremely unique setting where pupils transition through into our Prep School and Senior School.

Job Summary


We are seeking 2 passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. You will lead activities that encourage learning through play, ensuring each child's individual needs are met while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children and families. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers as necessary. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in early childhood education.

Qualifications



A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience is essential. Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to drive children's learning through creative play-based activities. A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their well-being.
We are open 51 weeks of the year and the successful candidate must be able to work flexible shifts between 8.00am-6.00pm.

An enhanced DBS disclosure will be requested in the event of the individual being offered the position.

Pay: From 21,000.00 per year
