Job Description

We are excited to offer the position of Early Years Practitioner at our busy Day Nurseries and Before and After School provisions.

The contracted hours are 28.5 hours per week, from 7.30am - 12pm, Monday - Friday at our Bridgtown setting, and 3.30pm - 5.30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at our Gorsemoor setting, during Term Time.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Level 2/3 qualified person to join our company which runs five settings including day nurseries, wraparound nursery settings and out of school provision.

Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our vibrant childcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with young children, fostering their development and learning in a nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and supporting their early educational journey.

Prior experience in childcare, nursery settings, or early childhood education is essential, along with strong management and leadership skills.

A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate multi-setting working.

Responsibilities



Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety at all times Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and social interaction Support children's emotional well-being by providing reassurance and guidance Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet individual needs Communicate effectively with parents or carers regarding children's progress and any concerns Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and organisational skills

Qualifications



Level 2/3 Early Years Qualification (Full and Relevant)Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices Valid driving licence is advantageous. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and organisational skills Passionate about supporting children's development through engaging educational activities
