Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our small preschool team. The ideal candidate will have minimum Level 2 child care qualification. Additional training will be given if needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role involves engaging with children from 2 to 4 years old, ensuring their well-being, and supporting their development through play and educational activities.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children aged 2 - 4 years in a variety of activities to promote their physical, emotional, and social development. Create and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that encourage learning through play. Maintain a safe and clean environment for children at all times. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and playtimes. Keep accurate records of children's activities, behaviours, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the childcare setting.

Qualifications

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience working in a nursery setting is highly desirable. A genuine love for children along with patience and understanding in dealing with their needs. Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Level 2, and Food Hygiene Certificate preferred, but training can be given for the right candidate. Minimum level 2 Childcare qualification required.
