Responsibilities

Manage the daily activities of the setting, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build positive relationships and support children's emotional well-being. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning through play. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities to meet individual needs. Drive initiatives that enhance the setting's educational offerings and maintain high standards of care. Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive approach to childcare and early education. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices in childcare.

Skills

Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Leadership skills to inspire and guide fellow educators in their roles. A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young children. Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances within the childminding environment.
