Duties and responsibilities include helping us create a stimulating, challenging and fun environment for our children, making observations that form part of their learning journals, liaising with parents, planning and preparing children's activities to meet their needs, interests and stages of development, always ensuring their health, safety and wellbeing. You would also, at times, help us meet the needs of our SEN children through play on a one to one basis. Candidates must be prepared to work outside for parts of the day and assist at our Forest School and Beach School if required.
Canditates ideally would hold an Early Years qualification and have experience but the role could also suit someone wanting to work alongside a longstanding and professional team to gain experience of working in childcare and with children with special educational needs. We have a full time, or 2 part time positions, available (hours to be negotiated) to cover maternity leave for the rest of this academic year, until July 2026.
We are a busy day nursery, consecutively rated 5 times 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, operating from a home based nursery (2 -3 year olds) and from purpose built classrooms (3 -5 year olds) sharing the same grounds, in a residential area, 5 minutes from the centre of Chichester. We offer full day care from 8.30am to 5.30pm, 5 days a week, 48 weeks of the year.
