Qualifications

A full and relevant childcare qualification level 3 of a full relevant childcare qualification level 2 may be considered for the right person who would be looking at progressing to a level 3 in the future. Must be able to work the full hours Monday to Friday 8.00am to 3.00pm.

You will need to have GCSE Maths and English at Grade c or above or the equivalent.

Paediatric First Aid - desirable

Food Hygiene - desirable

Enhanced DBS update certificate - essential

We are a committee run pack away playgroup that offers term time only sessions. We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our friendly team. Someone who will promote our values of high quality standards across the playgroup. We are seeking someone who is forward thinking, motivated and committed to the needs of the children in our care.

You will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written and have a secure knowledge of the EYFS.

The role involves becoming a keyperson ensuring the care and development needs of the children are fully met at all times. You will need to have experience of planning and delivering a range of activities that stimulate, challenge and engage children. Your role would also include on-going assessments and how to move your child forward to meet their full potential and competing learning journals online through tapestry (training will be given).

The post is subject to acceptable references and an enhances DBS.

The post is exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders Act 1974.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment. Assist with daily routines, including heavy lifting of children and equipment as needed. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized space conducive to learning.
