We are looking for a qualified Early Years practitioner to work in our term time only pre-school.

Part-time

Monday- 8.15- 3.15

Tuesday- 8.15-3.15

Wed- 8.15- 3.15

Thursday- 8.15- 4 (including a staff meeting)

Friday 8.15- 3.15

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in our care. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children, fostering their curiosity and love for learning.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children aged 2-5 years. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and play. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and sharing insights with parents and colleagues. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to education. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and activities, ensuring all children receive appropriate care. Drive initiatives that promote children's well-being and development through creative activities and outdoor play.

Skills

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is essential. Some experience working with children with SEN is preferable Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and staff. A deep understanding of child development principles and practices related to nursery settings. Ability to create an engaging learning environment that caters to diverse needs. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt activities based on children's interests. A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education.

The pre-school takes safeguarding very seriously and thorough background checks will be made. The successful candidate will be required to provide references, complete a DBS through the Pre-School, and sign up to the update service.
