Bramble Brook Pre-School is an Ofsted registered charity setting based in the church hall on Devonshire Drive in Mickleover, Derby. We provide early years childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our expanding pre-school team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive setting that values professionalism, creativity, and a genuine passion for childcare. The successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, along with a minimum 2 years' experience working with children in an early childhood education setting.

Duties



Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning. Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities. Support the implementation of pre-school policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards. Assist with the organisation of the pre-school environment to ensure it is welcoming, safe, and conducive to learning. Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children. Contribute to team meetings and ongoing professional development sessions.

Qualifications



Proven experience working with children in a pre-school or early childhood education setting. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Ability to organise activities that cater to diverse learning needs. A caring attitude combined with professionalism and organisational skills. Hours of Work


The Pre-school operates between the hours of 8:00am until 4.30 pm. You must be available to work between the hours of 7.45am to 4.30pm. Shifts may vary between these times. We will consider both part time or full time hours to find the right person.

Term time only.
