Silver Stars is a small, family run private day nursery in a lovely little village of Winterbourne. We are community based setting. Our ethos is to nature the children and create opportunities for them to flourish and enjoy learning. At Silver Stars we follow elements of the curiosity approach, cresting an environment full of curiosity, awe and wonder, embedding this at the heart of the setting.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate individual to join our nursery family as a bank practitioner. The role will be to support children between the age of 0-5 years through learning, care and fun! We are looking for staff with experience, however can be unqualified or qualified. Your days will be fun, messy, indoors, outdoors, creative, explorative, child-led and free, but never the same! To nurture that seed of magic with love and care to inspire every individual child. We are looking for a bank practitioner working between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Silver Stars are committed to safeguard all children and staff. Successful candidates will be required to provide two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.

What you will be doing



- Responsible for the delivery of our 'learning through play' educational ethos

- Responsible for working alongside the team of early years practitioners

- Being innovative with in the moment provocations and activities, constantly challenging your children's learning and development in the moment.

- To be a key person, carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with your key children and their families

- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with parents

- Working a flexible shift pattern within the opening hours (8am-6pm): Part-Time or Full Time

- Working days Monday - Friday

About you



- Passionate about child development and making a difference to the lives of children

- Experience of In the moment Planning or a desire to develop ITMP as a working practice.

- An enjoyment of the great outdoors and hungry to pass on this love of nature to the children and babies you will care for. Have a passion for enabling children to learn where ever and however is best for them.

- Positive (always see the glass half full) with a 'make it happen' attitude

- A good team worker - role modelling to the children the benefits of collaboration

- We welcome applications from practitioners unqualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years childcare.
