We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner/Play Worker to support the development and supervision of high quality play experiences within the nursery provision of the out of school club during term time and holiday club during school holidays, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the service and offering support to children and their families.
Duties
Adhere to club policies and procedures at all times and uphold the profile of the setting and its standards.
Maintain a high standard for health and safety ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
Implement all policies and procedures relating to the protection of children and supporting their individual needs.
Work effectively within a team using positive communication skills with other staff, management and other stakeholders
Supervise areas of play both indoors and outdoors adhering to duties given by senior staff.
Develop positive relationships with parent(s)/carer(s) and encourage parental involvement and support in the clubs activities.
Develop positive relationships with children providing clear communication and interaction on a daily basis.
Contribute to the planning and provision of high quality care and assist with providing safe, creative appropriate play activities which meet the needs of the children.
To work as part of a team to plan, deliver and evaluate learning programmes to support pre school aged children's development and learning in the setting that allows children's individual progress to be monitored and evaluated.
To take responsibility for a key group of children and to record and report their progress.
To maintain confidentiality at all times and comply with GDPR legislation.
Assist with record keeping on a day to day basis including the completion of report forms.
Participate in professional learning opportunities and use personal reflection to develop your practice.
Actively participate in the clubs supervision and appraisal process.
Any other duties deemed necessary by a member of the senior staff team.
