Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the early learning experiences of children aged 0-5 years and also to play an active role in our very busy, popular Wrap Around Care Service and Holiday Club. This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and possesses the ability to create a stimulating and safe environment for young learners.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support children's learning. Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting teaching methods accordingly. Lead group activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills among children. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of early childhood education practices and regulations. Drive initiatives that promote children's wellbeing and development in line with the nursery's ethos.

Experience

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience working with young children is essential. Proven experience in childcare settings, demonstrating effective management of children's behaviour and learning. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate both children and colleagues. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff. Experience working within a nursery or similar educational environment is desirable. A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their growth through play-based learning.

Pay: 12.21-12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week
