Job Description

The Mrs. Cameron Day Nursery is located within the picturesque and tranquil location of Gonville and Caius College in the centre of Cambridge. The total capacity is 25 children split between three rooms; 0-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-5 years. The nursery employs 7 full and part-time staff and is open from 8.30am - 5.15pm 52 weeks a year.

The nursery is operated on behalf of Gonville & Caius college, by Wigwam Nurseries Ltd who are a well established group of 5 day nurseries. Each nursery has been carefully adapted and refurbished to an extremely high standard and is well equipped with natural, high quality, stimulating resources.

What will I be doing as a Nursery Practitioner?



?Building positive and trusting relationships with children and outstanding parent partnerships.

? Providing a safe, hygienic, caring and stimulating environment for the children.

? Ensuring that the physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care provided to children is of the highest standard.

? Planning, carrying out and recording fun, inspirational and educational play and learning opportunities.

Am I qualified for this job?



? A full and relevant Early Years & Childcare qualification at level 2 or 3 (Early Years Educator) is required for this role.

? In some cases, English & Maths GCSE's at grade C or functional skills level 2 in English & Maths is required.

What are the working hours?



?The nursery staff work five days, Monday to Friday between 8.30am-5.15pm. We would consider fewer days for the right candidate.
