Early Years Practitioner

. This role will support children aged

0-5 years

, providing high-quality care and education in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children ages 0-5 years, a passion for early years education, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Duties

Support and care for children aged 0-5, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and development Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play, creativity, and outdoor experiences Observe, assess, and record children's progress, contributing to individual development plans Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on their children's progress Ensure compliance with the setting's policies, procedures, and health and safety standards Foster a love of exploration, creativity, and outdoor learning in all children Support the continuous improvement of the nursery through sharing ideas and participating in initiatives

Skills and Qualities

Experience working with children aged 0-5, particularly under 3, is essential Knowledge of early years principles and child development Patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well as part of a team and also use own initiative Creativity and passion for engaging children in play-based learning Commitment to promoting outdoor learning and exploration Proactive, reliable, and flexible
