Are you a nurturing, qualified practitioner who's passionate about early childhood education? Smiley Stars Nursery is looking for a dedicated and creative Early Years Practitioner to join our team and help us provide a warm, stimulating, and safe environment for every child.

About the Role

As an EYP, you'll be a key part of the children's daily care and learning experience, helping to plan, deliver, and reflect on meaningful activities, track development, and build strong relationships with children and families. You'll work closely with our room leaders and management team, and support apprentices and assistants in delivering quality care across the nursery.

What You'll Be Doing

Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities Acting as key worker for a small group of children Tracking development and maintaining learning journals Supporting care routines, mealtimes, rest, and toileting Communicating with parents and attending meetings Collaborating with your room team and supporting new staff Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment Attending training and supporting continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

SVQ Level 3 in Early Learning & Childcare (or equivalent) Strong understanding of Realising the Ambition and Curriculum for Excellence Positive, reliable, and professional attitude Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team Confident communicator with parents, children, and staff Experience in key working and observation-based planning PVG Scheme membership (or willingness to join) SSSC registration (or eligibility to register)
