, at Tibberton Community Primary School, requires an excellent Early Years Practitioner to work within our educational setting, and join our enthusiastic, hardworking team of highly skilled and experienced Early Years Practitioners.
This is a unique opportunity for a knowledgeable practitioner to join us in the running of a nursery and pre-school facility for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
You will be joining our professional team of colleagues, with the shared aim of delivering excellent early years provision for local children and upholding our commitment to research based Early Years practice. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children to provide them with engaging and inspiring opportunities for learning and development, as a valued part of an experienced team. They will be dedicated in their support of children's social, emotional and mental health needs. They will be also someone who relishes the challenge of keeping practice current and relevant, working in the moment and adapting to the varying needs of each child, each day. Experience of supporting children effectively in an early years setting is essential to this role, as is the ability to be committed, enthusiastic, organised, efficient, flexible and friendly.
The desired candidate must be passionate about children's learning and development, have excellent communication skills, enjoy getting messy and embrace all aspects of learning indoors and outdoors, whatever the weather. A successful applicant must have a keen belief in a child centred approach and learning through play. They will share our passion for providing a creative curriculum and will share our love of child initiated open-ended investigation and exploration.
A level 3 early years qualification (NNEB, NVQ2, BTEC or equivalent) is an essential requirement. All applicants must have at least 1-year experience working within an early years setting.
The post will initially be for two days per week (Wednesday and Friday) with a view to claim additional hours where needed. There may also be an option to potentially support the other nursery/pre school settings with the Trust. This will be a fixed term contract beginning in January and to cover a period of maternity leave.
