Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to promote the development of children in their early years. You will play a vital role in fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth while ensuring their safety and well-being. A full and relevant Level 3 qualification or above is essential for this role.

In addition to Early Years Practitioner job role, we have a vacancy for a Team Leader for our Under 2s Unit and will discuss this role with any applicants who are interested (this role would be paid at a higher salary).

Responsibilities



Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children aged 0-5 years. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning. Manage daily activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary. Lead group activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and exploration. Maintain accurate electronic records of children's development and attendance. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare. Drive initiatives that promote the nursery's ethos and values within the community. Work in line with policies and procedures. Work as part of a team. Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Qualifications



A recognised qualification in Early Years/Childcare or equivalent is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, demonstrating a drive for continuous professional development. The successful applicant will join a well-qualified team of staff and will participate in planning, teaching and ensuring that the EYFS , knowledge and experience underpins all our work.
We will consider both full and part time applicants.

Full time salary is 26,000 to 27,040 per year. Salary is negotiable dependant upon experience.
