Job Description

We are a lively and fun early years setting based on a retired family farm outside Holt. As a setting we have four rooms - a baby room, transitional room, main room and pre school and as a whole nursery have access to some wonderful outdoor spaces.

We are looking for a part time/full time practitioner to join our growing team.

We are looking for a confident, qualified member of staff who is able to come in and be a part of the team.

Due to our location we do require someone with their own transport.

We open 49 weeks of the year (closing for around 2 weeks at Christmas and the bank holidays and one week in the state school summer holidays.) We operate from 8am to 6pm. Shifts are various and we as required.

The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications but is competitive.

Early Years Practitioner - Main duties of the role:

The role consists of being a key person for a small group of children, carrying out observations, and planning for next steps, along with the day-to-day general care of the children.

Supporting the children with their development through activates and play.

Ongoing training in all early years' matters is given, as we encourage and assist in continuous professional development.

Early Years Practitioner - Candidates Specification:

Minimum 2 years childcare experience in a nursery environment ideally Excellent written and communication skills and knowledge of policies and procedures such as safeguarding and health and safety, full training can be given Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification or its equivalent is desirable, though we will consider suitable candidates with Level 2 or equivalent, who are prepared to work towards their Level 3 Knowledge of the EYFS is essential, further training can be given Good time management A strong desire to help the children achieve their full potential. Confidence in engaging with children to promote their learning and development
