Days/Hours:



40 hours a week / Monday-Friday Shifts between 7am - 7pm Common Shift patterns - 8-5pm / 9-6pm / 7-4pm Permanent / All Year Round
*Please note all roles are all year round and we cannot accommodate school hours/term time requests

Salary: 26,000-28,000pa

(Depending on experience/qualification)

About the Role


The role will be to provide high quality care and education to our Pre-School children aged 3 & 4. Duties include being a key person to a group of children (supporting them with their learning and development; planning and participating in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities), liaising with parents, ensuring our policies and procedures are followed and role modelling practice to other members of the team and the children across the setting. This position would suit a newly qualified practitioner right up to a super qualified senior practitioner looking to continue growing their experience.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities



To ensure good practice as set out in the EYFS Practice Guidance and comply with all relevant statutory regulations. To have a good understanding in the early year's framework, and to be able to help staff working alongside them, to give them ideas for planning and assessment. The practitioner must have a good relationship with parents by communicating with them. The practitioner must have a clear understanding of how to keep children safe, whilst looking out for the child's welfare. Safeguarding is very important to us here at Charley Barley's and we want staff to have a clear understanding about it.

About You


The ideal candidate will:

Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (full and relevant)

Have previous experience as a nursery practitioner or similar role The ability to work as part of a team; Excellent communication skills Excellent organisation skills Demonstrate a strong commitment to outdoor learning and inclusive practices Be eligible to work in the UK
