Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting young children's development and fostering a safe, nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your caring and nurturing skills while making a positive impact on children's early learning experiences. Applicants should possess relevant childcare experience and be committed to delivering high-quality education in a professional setting. The hours of the setting at 7am to 6:30pm , shifts are a mix of mornings, afternoons and full days, applicants will be required to work a mix of all shifts. Please note we are unable to allocate shifts around school hours due to the operational requirements of the setting.

Duties



Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development Support children's social, emotional, and physical growth through personalised care and guidance Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods ensuring their safety at all times Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines Foster effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's development and wellbeing Able to work outdoors in all weathers Organise the nursery environment to encourage independence, exploration, and learning Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and nursery policies Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery's curriculum and activities

Skills



Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Knowledge of childcare regulations, early childhood development principles, and best practices in nursery education Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm in working with young children Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
