Essential

NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education, Qualified NNEB, or equivalent/above (Level 3 Nursery Practitioner).

Or a Teaching qualification (BA (Hons), BSc (Hons) or PGCE.

Previous experience of working with children aged birth to 2 and/or 2-5.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and Welfare Requirements.

Good communication skills.

Ability to use own initiative.

Good organisational skills.

Enthusiastic and hardworking.

To have and sustain a good level of attendance at work.

Ability to plan and implement activities.

Ability to record children's progress in the form of observations and reports etc.

To work in partnership with parents and outside agencies.

Suitability to work with children.

Good understanding and use of spoken and written English.

Attend courses as and when required. Desirable

At least 2 years' experience of working with children within a childcare setting.

Current Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Moving and Handling, Prevent Duty and Fundamental British Values training.

GCSE Maths and English - Grade C or above.

Experience of working with children with SEN.

Hours of Work

Full time and part time positions are available.
