Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team based next to the Headingley Train Station.

The successful candidate must be LEVEL 3 QUALIFIED and will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills within a dynamic early childhood education setting.

Duties

Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication Monitor individual progress and provide feedback to parents during regular meetings Assist with the organisation of daily routines and special events within the nursery or childcare setting Support new staff or interns through mentoring and guidance to ensure high standards of childcare are maintained

Skills

Proven experience with children, preferably within nursery or early childhood education environments Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues Knowledge of EYFS and early childhood development principles, and nursery practices Organisational skills to plan activities efficiently whilst managing multiple responsibilities Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach towards young children

Pay: 12.75-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
