Job Overview


We are an Islamic School seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Duties



Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years. Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that promotes learning through play. Supervise and support children during daily routines, including meal times, naps, and outdoor activities. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development in accordance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery or childcare setting. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Lead and manage small teams or groups of staff or volunteers as required, demonstrating strong leadership qualities. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Assist with organising training sessions or workshops for staff development when necessary.

Requirements



Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development. Demonstrable management and leadership skills within a childcare environment. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play while ensuring safety standards are met. Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred. Valid driving licence is desirable for roles requiring travel between multiple sites or community engagement activities. A caring, patient, and proactive attitude towards children's needs. Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education practices.
