We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our pre-school team in the school holidays. You will play a key role in providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children aged 2-4. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education who enjoys engaging children in fun, educational activities during holiday periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Support planning, preparation and delivery of a range of age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity and physical development.
Ensure the welfare, safety and well-being of all children under your care, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies.
Support children's personal, social and emotional development through positive interaction and encouragement.
Maintain accurate records, including attendance, observations and reports as required.
Work collaboratively with other team members to create an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing feedback on their child's experiences.
Assist with the setting up and tidying of play areas, ensuring a clean and organised learning space.
Follow all pre-school policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and education.
Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum Level 2 Qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
Previous experience working with young children in a pre-school or childcare setting.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Paediatric First Aid certification (desirable).
Skills and Attributes:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and leading engaging activities.
Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to the changing needs of the pre-school.
