Jets Nursery currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring, fun-loving person to join our team.

We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner with a level 2 or 3 qualification to work with our 2-4 year olds. Your main roles and responsibilities will be:

To have good knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, what it is used for and why. To support the planning and implementation of activities with individual or groups of children, promoting effective teaching and learning. Provide a purposeful, stimulating environment rich in learning opportunities, both indoors and outdoors. To promote the inclusion of all children. To meet the physical needs of children, encouraging good standards of personal hygiene, whilst promoting independence. To support the nursery's commitment on safeguarding children in all aspects of the nursery service. To support the team to monitor and evaluate children's learning through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies, working alongside our SENCO. To provide objective and accurate feedback and reports for parents and other professionals on children's achievements, progress and related matters. To be proactive on the continuation of your own learning to improve the outcomes for children and their families.
This position is to cover maternity leave with the opportunity to take on a more permanent role if and when they arise. The position is 30 hours per week, term time with 6 additional weeks of holiday club cover at 25 hours(Pro-rata). The shifts are Monday to Friday from 8.45am-3.15pm.
