Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated experienced Early Years practitioner to join our pre school team as a Keyperson. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification and have a passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing learning environment, using children's individual interests and fascinations to plan in the moment. Calm, patient nature with SEN experience an advantage. In the first instances this is a Maternity cover full time post until May 2025. With the strong possibility of continuing as a permanent post.

Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality care and education for children in the early years.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's learning and development. Use an online learning journey, Tapestry to record progress.
- Create a safe and inclusive setting where children can thrive, with support from the setting senco and outside agencies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure the well-being of each child
- Manage daily routines and maintain accurate records of children's progress, using online learning journey Tapestry.

- Role model best practice to support apprentices development.

- Continuing Professional development.

Skills

- Leadership skills to guide and support children effectively
- Experience in early childhood education
- Ability to drive positive learning outcomes for children
- Knowledge of nursery best practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Proficiency in English language
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily activities effectively

Pay: 12.35 per hour
