We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities for parents and colleagues.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop programme improvements and organise group activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
Support the management team in implementing policies related to health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
Assist with organising outings or excursions that enhance learning experiences outside the nursery setting.
Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the nursery environment.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development stages, and childcare regulations.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
Valid driving licence is desirable for organising outings or transporting children when necessary.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care or equivalent are preferred but not essential with relevant experience.
