Little Lattons Nursery is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced
Level 6 Early Years Practitioner
to join our friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified practitioner to take on a senior role within the setting and support the delivery of outstanding early years education and care.Ideal candidates will be effective role models who set high expectations, inspire children to play, learn and grow, and demonstrate a strong commitment to early years development. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for improving outcomes for all children.
Essential Requirements:
Full and relevant Level 6 qualification in Early Years / Early Childhood Studies (or equivalent)
Paediatric First Aid trained
A solid understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong knowledge and experience of implementing the EYFS
Ability to lead and support staff in delivering high-quality practice
Role Responsibilities:
As a Level 6 Practitioner, you will:
Work in our pre-school room, maintaining a 1:13 adult-to-child ratio in accordance with statutory guidance for Level 6 qualified staff
Lead and support the staff team in the effective implementation of day-to-day routines and nursery policies
Take responsibility for approving room observations, contributing to end-of-year reports, and ensuring accurate and meaningful assessment of children's development
Model high standards of care and education and provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced practitioners
Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Use the EYFS framework to plan and implement engaging activities that support children's progress across all areas of learning
Ensure that individual children's needs are identified and met
