Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children.

Duties

Provide attentive and compassionate care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that support the developmental needs of each child. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for improvement. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a collaborative environment. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the day. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting, adhering to health and safety regulations. Support the leadership team in implementing policies and procedures that enhance the quality of care provided.

Skills

Strong knowledge of nursery practices and early childhood education principles. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike. Proven experience in managing groups of children in a childcare setting. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their individual needs. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through creative play and exploration. Previous experience in childcare settings is highly desirable, along with relevant qualifications in early years education. Should have knowledge of EYFS.
