Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages children's development and learning through play. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early experiences of children, ensuring they are safe, happy, and engaged.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of young children. Foster a positive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education. Manage daily activities within the nursery setting, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide leadership within the team, mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development. Collaborate with parents to support children's learning at home and address any concerns they may have. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided within the nursery.

Skills

Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team and guide educational practices. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing challenges within the nursery environment. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting resources or attending off-site activities.
