Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the early learning experiences of children in our care. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for young learners, ensuring their holistic development through play-based learning and structured activities.

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support children's learning. Manage classroom behaviour by establishing clear rules and expectations while promoting respect and cooperation among children. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development. Provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across the nursery setting. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of early years education within the setting. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

A level 2 qualification in childcare would be desirable. Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and guide both children and colleagues. A genuine passion for working with children and an understanding of their developmental needs. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity.
