We are seeking a passionate and dedicated

qualified Early Years Educator (SCQF Level 7 / Level 3)

to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing young children's learning and development in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, as well as the ability to engage with children and their families effectively.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years. Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to explore and learn. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment that promotes learning through play. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational approach. Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns. Manage classroom behaviour in a positive manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children. Meet the minimum CLPD training hours set by SSSC.

Skills

Working ethos to inspire and guide both children and colleagues. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, particularly in English. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus on children's needs. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development. Flexibility to adapt activities based on the interests of the children and the dynamics of the group. Ethos of child-led experiences both indoors and outdoors.
