Vacancy available for an Early Years Practitioner within Ribbon Daycare

Ribbon Daycare are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated member of staff to join our busy team, particularly in the 0-2 room and 2-3 room.

The successful applicant must be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. The applicant must also have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The applicant will be expected to work as part of a team and be responsible for the care and education of children from 0-7 years, meaning you must be able to adapt to working with all age ranges.

The applicant will be required to deliver high quality care to meet the needs of the children and be enthusiastic in their job role. The applicant will be expected to provide appropriate and stimulating activities, suitable for the age range of the children as well as planning 'In the moment', therefore the appropriate experience is necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of babies/children.

To ensure a high quality standard of childcare is given to all babies/children and their families.

Complete observations for all children in their care, as well as any other relevant paperwork on a weekly basis.

Plan and provide appropriate activities for all babies/children

Build good relationships with children and their parents/carers and liaise with them on a daily basis.

Engage with all staff and remain professional at all times.

Ensure good general housekeeping within the Daycare.

Serve snacks & meals to children.

Attend regular meetings and training when requested.

Adhere to and promote Ribbon Daycare's policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Essential Criteria:

- Relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification (Level 2 would be considered for the perfect candidate)

- English & Mathematics Qualification (A-C/or equivalent)

- Satisfactory DBS Clearance

- Knowledge of the EYFS/Child Development

- Ability to work as a member of a team

- A willingness to work cooperatively with a wide range of professionals

- Good communication skills - written and verbal

Desirable Criteria:

- Paediatric First Aid Certificate

- Food Hygiene Certificate

The applicant will be required to work 37.5hrs within the hours of 7:45am-5.30pm, on a rota basis between Monday-Friday, all year round.
