Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the potential of young children in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning. Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and their families. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys. Foster effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development and encouraging parental involvement. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained within the nursery setting. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive interactions among children. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years frameworks.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or visits. Experience in childcare management is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for fostering children's growth is key.
