Responsibilities
Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Support children with daily routines including meal times, rest periods, and hygiene practices
Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to sanitation and food safety standards
Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring proper handling and presentation of snacks and meals
Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with colleagues and parents to support individual growth
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging independence and social skills through play and interaction
Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and any incidents or concerns
Experience
Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is highly preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and sanitation practices within early childhood environments
Level 3 childcare qualification
Strong time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
