Job Overview


Due to changes in the Early Years Funding we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our under two provision. If you have experience working with children under two and hold a level 3 in childcare why not apply to join our team.

The ideal candidates will hold a strong background in early years education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. The Early Years Practitioner will play a key role in fostering children's personal, social, and emotional development, communication and Language , and physical development through engaging activities and effective communication.

Working hours do include some 7:15am opening shifts and some 6:00pm closing shifts. We do offer term time only positions or full year round.

Responsibilities



Plan and implement age and stage appropriate activities to promote children's learning and development. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. To be a team player, collaborating with the other members of the team. Manage daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods. Lead group activities that encourage teamwork, creativity, and social interaction among children. Support children in developing their independence and self-care skills. Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.

Experience



A level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. A proactive approach with the drive to create engaging learning experiences for young children.
