Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The position is paid and suitable for those committed to fostering early learning and development. This is a term time only position. Salary shown is Pro rata.

Responsibilities



Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through caring interactions and structured play Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment in compliance with health and safety regulations Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform future planning and individualised support Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality childcare services Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily routines Manage behaviour positively, promoting good manners, respect, and cooperation among children Assist in organising nursery activities, outings, and special events as required Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff or trainees when necessary Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare legislation and policies

Qualifications



Experience working with children within nursery or early childhood settings is highly desirable Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages Strong management and leadership skills to support team cohesion and effective programme delivery Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Early Years or equivalent are preferred Ability to organise tasks efficiently while maintaining a nurturing approach Passionate about early childhood education with a commitment to ongoing professional development
