qualified Early Years Practitioner

, to join our dedicated and friendly team on a full-time basis, working 25

-40 hours per week

.

Your Role:



As a

Practitioner

at Family Nurseries Newport, you'll play a vital role in supporting children through the most important stages of their early development. You'll provide high-quality care and tailored learning experiences, create secure attachments with each child, and build strong, trusting relationships with families. With your calm, gentle presence and deep understanding of development, you'll help our little ones flourish in a warm and joyful environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide loving, responsive care and create a secure, home-from-home atmosphere Deliver engaging, age-appropriate experiences based on each child's interests and developmental stage Observe, assess and track progress using the EYFS framework, tailoring support accordingly Communicate effectively with parents and carers, offering daily updates and developmental insights Support smooth daily routines including feeding, sleeping, nappy changing and transitions Work closely with the baby room team to maintain a stimulating and safe environment Uphold nursery policies, including safeguarding and health & safety at all times

What We're Looking For:



A

Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years

(or equivalent) - essential

Experience working

in a nursery setting A strong understanding of child development, including attachment and early communication A naturally caring, calm and nurturing approach Excellent teamwork and communication skills A proactive and positive attitude, with a genuine passion for early years education A good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
