Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for children to learn and play. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience within the nursery setting. Lead activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through play. Manage classroom behaviour effectively while promoting positive interactions among children. Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.

Skills

Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive initiatives that support children's learning and development. Leadership qualities to inspire and guide other staff members. Strong organisational skills to manage daily activities efficiently. A nurturing attitude towards childcare, ensuring each child feels valued and respected. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
