1 x Permanent full time position (approx 39 hours per week, term-time only)

1 x Permanent part time position (approx 24 hours per week, term-time only)

We are looking for two Experienced Early Years Practitioners (one part time, one full time) to join our pre-school team. You must have a full and relevant early years qualification - minimum of level 2, level 3 preferred. Salary dependant on qualifications, salary will rise in April.

Main Duties:

To provide safe, high quality educational experiences for young children

To support the children in a play based environment to extend their knowledge and development including those with individual needs.

To act as a key person for a small group of children

To support mealtimes in the setting.

To keep children safe and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.

To work in partnership with our parents, carers and families

To undertake any training required by the setting and to attend staff meetings regularly.

Person Specification:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years (must be full and relevant)

GCSE English at grade C (or equivalent)

Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Experience of working with two to five year olds.

Experience of working with children with additional needs.

Sound knowledge of Safeguarding guidelines

Good communication skills.

Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

Knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum

Experience of observing, assessing and planning for individual children.

Awareness of Equal Opportunities

Awareness of Health and Safety regulations

Paediatric First Aid Ceretificate

Job Type: 1 x full time post, 1 x part time post (both positions are term-time only)

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience
