Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for an Early Years Practitioner or Support Worker in our Early Years setting. Applications welcome from those with experience and qualifications. Ideally qualifications we are looking for are SVQ Social services, children and young people SCQF Level 7 but we will consider those working towards this or with relevant experience. Successful applicants should be registered or eligible to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and must consent to a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check.

This position requires you to work under the direction of the Early Years Manager and the supervision of the St Kane's Early Learning and Childcare Committee. St Kane's Early Learning and Childcare Centre (ELCC) is registered with Care Inspectorate and is a partner provider of pre-school education with Aberdeenshire Council. It is a member of Early Years Scotland and is an equal opportunities employer.

This is a term time role. We are looking for somebody to commit to 20 hours per week and be able to cover relief when needed.

The role will require you to:

ensure every individual child's needs are met be an integral part of delivering educationally stimulating age appropriate activities adhere to our childcare policies help create a welcoming, organised and well resourced setting offer encouragement and support to children, celebrating their development and achievements use observation skills of children learning and use these to inform future planning
We are looking for someone who:

is kind, patient and nurturing likes to show creativity enjoys being outdoors can work well individually and as part of a team shows good communication and time keeping has a good grasp of ICT skills
Rate of pay is competitive and varies depending on age, qualification and experience
